DESCRIPTION:\nThis five-day training offers a deep dive into Earth system 
 forecasting using state-of-the-art deep learning approaches\, the Anemoi f
 ramework\, and other modern machine learning tools.\nThis in an advanced c
 ourse aimed at meteorologists\, Earth system modellers and other researche
 rs who already have a good foundational knowledge of machine learning. See
  the Requirements section below.\nAlongside lectures\, there will be hand
 s-on coding sessions and discussions.\nMain topics\nThe main topics of the
  training will be as follows:\n\nAn overview of deep learning flavours und
 erlying Earth systems modelling\, such as graph neural networks and transf
 ormers\nA deep dive into the methodology and operation of the AIFS-Single 
 and AIFS-ENS global weather models\nUse of the Anemoi software framework f
 or data-driven forecasting\nAdvanced applications of machine learning in w
 eather and Earth systems modelling\n\nAll lectures will be held in English
 .\nRequirements\nIn order to follow this course\, participants should have
 :\n\nA good understanding of foundational ML concepts and workflows (train
 ing\, evaluation\, generalisation\, etc)\nA general understanding of (or e
 xperience with) neural networks and deep learning models\nWorking knowledg
 e/experience in deep learning tools\, such as PyTorch\, Keras and similar\
 nKnowledge/experience of weather forecasting and/or Earth systems modellin
